Dr. Suheb Ahmed, FRANZCO, FRCSEd, MRCOphth Ophthalmologist
Dr. Suheb Ahmed specialises in Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, and Cornea. He also practises General Ophthalmology, which includes AMD, diabetic eye disease and retinal vein occlusions. Dr Ahmed is committed to public service which is why he spends the majority of time in public hospitals. He has public hospital appointments with Monash Health, Eastern Health and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where he performs large numbers of cataract surgical procedures and trains the next generation of eye surgeons.
Background
Dr Suheb Ahmed graduated from the University of Dundee, Scotland in 2000. Dr Ahmed undertook his Ophthalmology training in the UK beginning his specialist training in Cardiff, Wales followed by Yorkshire, England obtaining qualifications with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He then completed his higher specialist training in Scotland obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Dr Ahmed's commitment to the most advanced training led him to work as a fellow in Cornea and Anterior Segment at the University of Auckland, NZ where he gained experience in corneal transplantation, management of refractive errors as well as contributing to research into collagen cross linking. He underwent additional specialist training in refractive surgery in the UK.
Prior to moving to Australia he was a consultant ophthalmologist at NHS Forth Valley, Scotland. He was also a consultant for Optical Express, Europe's largest laser eye surgery provider.

Dr Malvika Gupta graduated from Delhi University, India with a gold medal for her proficiency in Ophthalmology following which she undertook fellowship in Vitreo-retinal surgery and medical retinal disorders from Westmead Hospital, Sydney, NSW in 2014-2015.
Having practiced Ophthalmology for over 10 years as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and having performed over 3000 eye surgeries, Malvika provides total eye care with special interests in complicated cataract and pterygium surgery, medical retinal diseases and oculoplastic procedures of the eyelid.
Malvika takes keen interest in writing and has authored over 30 titles in indexed ophthalmology journals and books. She is now a privileged member of the RANZCO Human Research Ethics Committee and contributes to ethical research by Ophthalmologists all across Australia. She has earned several young ophthalmologist grants to travel across Asia and Europe and participate in Retinal Disease Summits.
